Physiotherapy during Pregnancy
Your path to a strong foundation during pregnancy
Physiotherapy during pregnancy supports your body where it needs it most: with targeted exercises and hands-on techniques, we help you reduce discomfort, build stability and prepare your body for birth.
During an individual check, we look together at your posture, mobility and typical pregnancy-related symptoms. We identify what your body needs right now and create a plan that adapts to your changing needs throughout pregnancy.
Based on this, we create a treatment and exercise plan that reduces pain, strengthens your stability and supports your pelvic floor – so you feel safe and well-prepared, at every stage of pregnancy.

Pelvic floor & Pregnancy
Your pelvic floor carries more weight during pregnancy, adapts to hormonal changes and prepares for birth. Even without symptoms, it can be helpful to understand where your pelvic floor stands – and how you can support it early on.
In our pelvic floor check during pregnancy, you receive a thorough assessment of the strength, tension and relaxation ability of your pelvic floor – so you know exactly where you stand and how you can best prepare for birth.
Together we develop a tailored programme of pelvic floor training, relaxation and breathing exercises as well as tips for everyday life and birth preparation.

Good to know: As a pregnant person, you do not have to pay prescription fees. Your gynaecologist can issue a prescription for physiotherapy that is fully covered by your health insurance.
What do you need to consider? On your prescription, the field “Zuzahlugsfreit” must be ticked and it must be noted in writing that you are pregnant (e.g. “Gravidity” or “Pregnancy”).
Therapy with health insurance prescription
If you bring a prescription from your statutory health insurance, we work according to the official guidelines and regulations of your insurance provider.
Health insurers provide basic care: typically 20 minutes of treatment time per prescribed session, covering the most essential aspects of therapy.
To ensure enough space for assessment, treatment and your questions, we plan double sessions whenever possible: this means two units of physiotherapy per appointment with approximately 30 minutes of treatment time.
This means: 2 units of physiotherapy per appointment with a total of approximately 30 minutes of treatment time. Please note that a double session requires 2 units on your prescription.
Your prescription is generally valid for 28 days from the date of issue – your first treatment must take place within this period.
Appointments for treatments with a prescription can easily be arranged via Doctolib .
